A white dress into the woods

A white dress. An enormous cake. You and your new, beloved husband finally together. "Husband". That word souds so sweet in your mind and... boring. Terribly boring.
Don't get me wrong, weddings are important celebrations, but if I have to get married, I want to do this in my style. I want something creative to make my wedding unforgettable. I want it to be celebrated into the woods, to give a Fairy Tale atmosphere.
Everyone should have a good time, I don't want my guests to get bored, so I will organize board games. Maybe I should be more elegant, but I don't really care.
It will be impossibile to find someone crazy enough to approve such a wedding, but I like dreaming.

We are when we eat

Yes, they told you a million times: “you are what you eat”. At this point, you should already have turned into a sandwich. But don’t you think that also the time you spend eating defines you?

If you are used to eating while reading emails at work, you probably know how frustrating it can be. You’ve been doing it for a lifetime, you problably don’t even notice anymore, but this makes you unhappy.

In addition, scientists often say that eating too fast can lead to health problems.

All in all, having to eat and work at the ame time is not such a good idea.

How to train a beautiful mind

Do you have a dream? Wanting to be an Ivy League student is a very common ambition. Although it’s not that easy, some people did it.

Most of the Ivy League students, boys and girls who have attended the most important universities in the world, have then become famous thanks to the outstanding education they receive.

You could think about scientists, Nobel Prize winners and so on, but some Alumni followed other paths: Emma Watson is now a famous actress, but some people don’t know that she studied in Brown University.

This shows how talented these students are, and we’re glad to have people like them in our world.

A Very Unusual Meal

It was a lovely day of march. The sun was shining lazily in the blue sky and the wind was blowing softly among the leaves of the huge trees of the forest.

Emily was standing alone under a pinetree. She had planned a picnic, but her friend was late. She checked her clock costantly to fill the passing minutes and she soon begun to worry. She started wandering around, looking for her. Suddenly, hidden behind the leaves, she saw a strange house she was sure she had never seen before.

Tired of walking and unsure of what to do, she got in. Soon, she'd regret it.

Michelle Obama: People Help the People

"No struggle can ever succeed without women participating side by side with men."
 -Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Everyone knows Michelle Obama, the former First Lady that accompanied (and keeps accompanying) one of the best presidents America has ever seen. Her determination and her golden heart will always be inspiring for people all around the world, and her sensibility made a significant dent on our society. She said that "being president doesn't change who you are, it reveals who you are", and we could say the same about being a First Lady: she was always there, with the Americans, here thoughts were with them and in each of her words she revealed her immense human side. But how did she get there?

She started from the bottom, she was nothing but an African-American woman from a working-class, she had no fame, no wealth, just her ready mind and her impressive determination. A woman with a dream: becaming a lawyer. It wasn't easy for her to carry on her studies because of her skin color, but she never gave up, she kept making her way on her own in a world that understimated her qualities, and we all know what happened next: Barak and Michelle Obama at the White House. It sounds like a dream, doesn't it? For sure it could be a nice fairy tale, I can already guess the moral of the story: "if you work hard anything is possible, even becoming President". The best part is that all of this is true, and Michelle Obama actually found her way following her dreams. If she managed to do that, everyone of us has the chance to become who he wants to be, all we have to do is work hard and never give up.

If Michelle Obama was a song, I guess she would be "People Help the People" by Birdy. Of course her biography is truly inspiring, but there is more: her words never failed to surprise us with their honesty and strength. Michelle's speechs are an anthem, the claim of a society that only celebrates appearence and forgets the mind and the soul behind it. She doesn't value beauty, she values education, and today we desperately need to know that a good education can get you anywhere and being beautiful is good, but the true seeing is whithin. She also helped a lot of people worldwide, another reason to think that "People Help the People" could be a song about her: she was an activist involved in non profit organisations, she fought against discrimination, obesity and bullying, when someone was broken, she always stood by their side, even if not physically, and she never got tired of that because she has a golden heart.

In conclusion, I can say that having Michelle Obama as First Lady has been an honour and we should take her pure soul and powerful words as an example. The world needs more women like her, let's make this happen. We can make the difference in our lives and in our world, we can and must try to be an Obama.

How music changes the world

Music is the most powerful form of magic, it can save a soul and change the world. And music did change the world, and it keeps influencing us everyday.Anyone listens to music, no matter what genre, human beings need music to feel understood, to never feel alone, to spend their time in a pleasant way.

Music has a huge influence on what we do and what we think, so it could change anything, a song could start a revolution and inspire people. Let's just think about national anthems, and how we always refer to them when we talk about our Country.
As a cultural expression, music can also communicate strong values to the ones who listen to it. Several organisations used music to spread their beliefs, for example Amnesty International, which put on many charity concerts to support human rights.

Music also brings people together: boys and girls often meet in discos or karaoke bars and they start socialising. Sometimes strong friendships born just like this, thanks to music. Also, talking about music can be a nice way to mingle with others, it feels truly amazing when there is someone who listens to the same music you love, and there is nothing better than talking with them about you favourite singers and end up singing your favourite songs together.
Foreign music can also help people all around the world to know each others, and if you are learning a foreign language, listening to music in that language can be a great advantage.

Music also makes us more empathetic and sensitive because we are brought inside the songwriters' head, we hear about their feelings, we get to know the way he lives his problems and we relate with him or not. This way, when we will meet someone who feels the same (or when we will have that feeling ourselves) we will be able to symphatise with them and, why not, give them some help.
Music can also help to relax, it teaches to meditate about life and find out what is wrong with it. And yet, after a tiring day, spending some time alone just listening to relaxing music and drinking a cup of tea can change your life. That's the best medicine.

That's why music changes the world, because it changes us. Maybe we should stop running for a minute and let music fill ourselves, get to our heart and touch our soul. The world could look very different, after that.
